7.25" x 5.5" x 1.125", 479 pages, softcover, ISBN 978-3-911820-19-6.

Meet the Beats: 18 Interviews by Lars Movin, a book of interviews with Beat Generation figures, as published by Moloko Press (Germany) in an English-language softcover in 2026. Lars Movin took all of the introductions and interviews and most of the photographs, with additional photographs by Gary Snyder, Mimi Heinrich, and Steen Møller Rasmussen. Book design by Robert Schalinski. Introduction by Gregory Stephenson.

At a casual glance, one might miss that this book has significant biographical and cultural information on William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin. This book, however, is a valuable set of interviews and merits attention. Gysin (and Burroughs) mentions appear throughout the book, most often in the interviews with Harold Chapman, Harold Norse, John Giorno, and George Condo.

Mentions of Brion Gysin in this index-free book may be found at:

• Mimi Heinrich: page 243
• Harold Chapman: pages 272, 273, 278, 196–297, 298–299, 301–302
• Harold Norse: pages 310–311, 312, 313, 316
• John Giorno: pages 430–431
• George Condo: pages 452, 453–455

This copy was acquired during the 4–6 September 2026 EBSN (European Beat Studies Network) London Interzone conference and was inscribed by Lars Movin during that event as well.
